How Can I Help?

Use the gifts you already have to support a young family. Find a way to serve that fits your time, interests, and season of life.

Mentor

Weekly commitment

Being a mentor means loving a teen mom right where she is and walking alongside her with steady encouragement, compassion, and the love of Jesus. Mentors build trust, offer encouragement, and spend time with one teen mom on a regular basis. This is a meaningful weekly commitment for someone who wants to make a personal, lasting impact. Training and support are provided.

Leader

Flexible support

Leaders are a welcoming, hands-on presence at clubs, connections, and group activities. They help with meals, games, encouragement, and whatever support is needed throughout the evening. Because leaders are not paired one-on-one with a specific girl, this role offers a lighter time commitment while still making a meaningful impact.

Committee

Monthly meetings

The YoungLives Committee is a group of committed adults who support the ministry behind the scenes. Committee members help provide leadership, prayer, planning, and financial support so the ministry’s needs are met and it can continue to grow and thrive. This is a great role for someone who wants to invest in YoungLives in a practical and strategic way.

Other ways to come alongside young families

Transportation

Give parenting teens and their children a ride to club nights and events. Your support helps them join club while mentors prepare for the evening.

Bring your church along

Serve a meal together, recruit volunteers, or make YoungLives part of your church’s local outreach. Help guide and support the ministry through prayer, planning, and local connections.

Host a Diaper Drive

Bring your church conference, Sunday school class, or community group together to collect diapers and wipes for young families. It’s a practical way to meet an everyday need and show teen moms that their community cares.

Sponsor a Get-Together

Help young moms make memories and build friendships by financially sponsoring a special gathering like a visit to the pumpkin patch, a Mother’s Day brunch, or a park playdate. Your family, church, business, or community group can help make one of these moments possible.
